Here's what to expect and when to expect it...

It's a busy time; you've just got your results, and you're getting yourself prepped for arrivals. To keep you on track, here is a timeline of what to expect and when to expect it for your accommodation.

17 August

Your results have just started to settle in, and you know you're coming to Nottingham. You've got your accommodation booked, and you're looking forward to arrivals, but there are still a few weeks to go and some tasks to finish.

If you're worrying, that's okay; it's a busy time. So, on Monday 17 August, we will email you with lots of helpful information about arrivals, parking, catering, and how to access your halls app and even more helpful tips. It's still early, so you've got plenty of time to get prepared.

While you're waiting, read our guide to living in halls to give you a kick-start.

Your accommodation induction begins. This is an important step; you need to complete your induction and get your Key Collection Pass before you will be able to check into halls. So you must complete this.

Your induction will include a lot of helpful information on life in halls and health and safety. There is a quiz at the end, so make sure you are paying attention.

You will receive an email on 1 September once your induction is ready. It should only take 10-15 minutes to complete.

You will also be given directions on paying your first instalment of fees. It's important to get this sorted, as your deadline for paying your first instalment is 11 September.

We've done the important stuff, so it's now time for the fun stuff. On 8 September, we will email you all about life in halls and all of the perks that come with it, from your Residential Experience events programme, giving you the chance to have fun, learn something new and meet new friends along the way. Or how about our Active Living programme, giving you access to our incredible sports facilities across our campuses!

You will also find lots of handy tips and guides, like how to connect to the wi-fi in halls or how to use the laundry facilities; you'll need to know both throughout the year.

We want you to know that we have your back, and we will do everything we can to support you in halls. We also want any parent, carer, guardian or friend to know the same.

On 10 September, we will email you with lots of information that you can give to your supporters to let them know how we are here to support you through your time in halls and some of the important information they might need to know. That way, they can support you in the right way when you need it.

It is officially arrivals weekend! You're all packed up and in the car on the way to collect your keys. Or you're planning on doing it on 19 September; either way, it's a busy day.

When parking on campus, we have ANPR cameras in operation, so it is important that when you arrive, you register your vehicle. Parking is free on campus for arrivals; however, you must register to avoid any notices.

You will need your Key Collection Pass from your induction to check in and collect your keys. Not sure where to find it? Log in to the accommodation portal to view your pass again.
