Get to know your halls Officer!

To help you make the most of your halls experience, and to facilitate all of the support, opportunities and experiences the ResX Team has to offer you, the team delivers a range of events and activities all throughout the year, catering to a variety of interests and underpinned by the values of inclusivity and accessibility.

Every one of our Halls has its own Residential Experience Officer, so let's get to know the team:

Jenny

Lenton & Wortley Hall/ Lincoln Hall

Hi! My name is Jenny and I will be your Residential Officer at Lenton & Wortley and Lincoln Hall. I’m really excited to run lots of fun events and meet you all! In my free time I love travelling, arts and crafts, animals and reading. If you have any event ideas, questions, or concerns pop by for a chat, I’m here to help you have an unforgettable halls experience. 

Rachael

Ancaster Hall / Cavendish Hall

Hi there, my name is Rachael (but most people call me Rach), and I am very excited to be your new Residential Experience Officer here at Ancaster and Cavendish Hall. I love working on UP as it’s such a beautiful campus to explore and be a part of.

In my free time, I love going to see shows at the theatre, exploring new places, and taking photographs. I did my degree in photography many, many years ago and only picked my camera back up recently. I’m certainly no expert, but I do love trying to make great images.

Rose

Cripps Hall / Derby Hall

Hey! I’m Rose, and I’m the ResX officer over at Cripps & Derby Hall. I love getting stuck into a creative project, exploring new places and listening to music. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all and making your time in halls one to remember! I’ll be around campus throughout the year, so whether you have a question, an event idea for your hall, or just fancy a chat then please come and say hello!

Sanjay

Rutland Hall / Sherwood Hall

Jambo friends! I'm Sanjay, the Resident Officer over at Nottingham 2, Deakins Place & St. Peter's Court. I'm bilingual, rate alternative rock music and have 12 tattoos & would LOVE a pet snake (name ideas welcome). Super looking forward to running into everyone, regardless of site, and making your student experience in halls an unforgettable one!

Ryan

 Southwell Hall / Newark Hall / Melton Hall

Hi everyone! I'm Ryan, your ResX Programme & Engagement Officer for Jubilee Campus, and I'll be overseeing Southwell, Newark, and Melton Hall this year.

I'm very down to earth and will be around for a chat. I'm a regular concert goer (punk and metal is my jam!), a big basketball fan, and love anything involving board sports.

I'll be around campus regularly, you can't miss me, look out for a large beard and backwards hat! Please do reach out if you want to chat about upcoming events, voice any concerns, or just say hello. Have a fantastic time settling into your halls, and I look forward to meeting you all soon!

Florence Boot Hall / Nightingale Hall

Hi everyone, I’m Steffie, and I’m excited to be your returning residential officer for the Jubilee campus. I speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, so if you have any concerns or just want to have a chat, come find me! I look forward to meeting you all!

Andy

Broadgate Park / Dagfa / Albion

Hello new friends, my name is Andy, your officer for Broadgate Park, Albion House and Dagfa House! I joined the ResX Team this year, so I am excited to experience Welcome and Arrivals Week for the first time with you all. As well as all the fun future events, activities, and free food trucks we have coming up.

If you see me around, please say hi! I’m happy to chat anytime of the day and hear about how university life is going or any other passions you may have. I’m particularly interested in travel, so I would love to hear about any adventures you have had or are planning. Before joining the team, I travelled around Australia and Southeast Asia, so let me know if you need any tips!

Mollie

Sutton Bonington / Eviton House

Hi, I’m Mollie! I started working at the university in August after 8 years of studying history from undergraduate to doctorate level, so basically I’m just a huge history nerd. I’m based at Sutton Bonington and am normally found in the Normanton common room with my laptop and cup of tea so feel free to pop in for a chat if you’re around and have any ideas you want to share! I’m really looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully making your event ideas come to life this year.

Morriss House / Riverside Point

Hi! I'm your ResX Officer for Morriss House and Riverside Point. I graduated from our University's Malaysia campus and moved to the UK in 2022. Happy to meet for a chat, a round of games, or to rewatch Interstellar for the 13th time.

Martha

Deakins Place / Nottingham Two / Cloister

Howdy! I'm Martha, and I have been working at the university for 1 year now, and this is my first adult job since leaving University. I am based at Broadgate Park, Albion, and Cloister; however, please expect to see me around at any site. I'm so easily distracted from work, so I recommend coming to say hi to me and updating me on all your gos. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and making your event ideas a reality this year. I'm also a Scorpio.
