Lunar New Year 2025 at UoN brought in the Year of the Snake, which honestly feels like the perfect vibe for uni life - transformative, adaptable, and probably wise enough to know when to avoid a 9am lecture. Students marked the occasion by enjoying some dumplings and noodles, and learning more about the symbolism (wealth and long life, sign us up). And of course, no New Year celebration is complete without some of the famous red envelopes.

For most of us, the Year of the Snake is just the perfect time to reset, rebrand, and maybe finally use that planner we swore we’d start in January. Whether you spent it reflecting on life or just reflecting on how good those bao buns were, you can guarantee we will be celebrating again next year!
