Across the whole of April, the university's HealthyU, HealthyUs, HealthyUniversity campaign is highlighting the wellbeing theme ‘Be Active’.

Being active benefits our health in so many ways, both physically and mentally. Regular exercise can help improve your energy levels, quality of sleep, memory and mood. It can help to reduce anxiety and stress, as well as contribute to overall happiness. For more information and tips on keeping active, visit HealthyU.

We are encouraging everyone to keep moving over the holidays and get out in the fresh air (and hopefully sunshine!), to benefit physical and mental health. Regular activity has so many health benefits and it also gives us a break from study and work. To help you stay active, HealthyU have collaborated with UoN Sport to host a Moves step challenge for the month of April. We invite you to take 240,000 steps across the month (averages 8,000 steps a day). For full details visit the HealthyU campaign page. All staff and students are welcome to take part. Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into a prize draw for a student to win a £100 Amazon voucher or Polaroid camera, and a staff member to win a £30 Amazon voucher.
