My top 4 study spots on University Park campus

That help me focus

It's exam season, which means it's time to get your head down and power through that coursework or revision. A good study space can really make a difference.

Whether you study best solo, silently, in a group or with a bit of background noise, here's one of our students' top four picks on campus.

1. Hallward Library

When you first walk into the library, you'll notice a nice café where you can grab a quick coffee or bite to eat to fuel yourself through the inevitable study session. Here you can also find plenty of booths, perfect if you're a private studier.

Make sure to check out level 3 too – the law and social sciences area – where there are lots of places to study with and without plugs, including a silent study area with great views from the window.

2. Portland Building

With a bookshop and café, you can find lots of intimate and cosy study spots here. One of the favourites is in the little nook of the coffee shop just before you enter the main café.

If you need plenty of caffeine to power you through, this is the place for you.

3. Trent Café

Don't like studying in the library? Try out Trent Café in the Trent Building. With the weather getting hotter, it's a great excuse to do some studying outside on their patio area.

Even if you choose to sit in and study, there's plenty of light that come through the big windows, not to mention the tasty yet affordable coffee.

4. Monica Partridge

If you're looking for a versatile study spot, yo've found it. With big booths, private study spaces that you can book online and very open areas, there's so many options to choose from.

If you get a bit snackish or need a pick-me-up half way through, just head to one of the vending machines to get your fill.

Need some extra support during exam season? You can find exam support stalls in our libraries where you can get things like study skills books, planners and more.
