Are you excited for the 2024 Notts Varsity series?!

In keeping with the city’s sporting heritage, NTU and UoN come face to face every year in the annual Notts Varsity sporting series.

The Varsity series comprises of several sporting events, with Ice Hockey kicking off the series as a fan-favourite spectacle like no other!

The ice hockey match is one of the largest ice hockey varsity matches outside of North America, selling out the 8,000 seats inside the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, alongside being broadcasted live by the Universities student media across the world.

In the end, the winner takes home the Varsity Trophy, held until the conclusion of the following year's series.

On the 12 February 2024, UoN and NTU will battle it out to be crowned Ice Hockey Varsity Champions, at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.

Last year saw team UoN claim the title after a close fought 2-1 victory! Will they retain the title this year or will team NTU come out on top?
